Sustainability

Respecting human rights is an essential part of any responsible business conduct. Everyone has a right to dignity, freedom, equality and justice whoever they are and wherever they live.

At Steercoms, we have zero-tolerance to human rights abuses within our business and our operations. Both employees and management are required to act within the confines of human rights law and in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles.

A zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery

Modern slavery is a worrying global issue that can affect any sector or industry across the world. It can take many forms such as human trafficking, slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour and child labour. Steercoms has adopted a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We do not accept any form of modern slavery in our operations, or in those companies who work with us or companies we work for.

Child labour is strictly prohibited and no one should be forced to work against their will in Steercoms. We only work with people who choose to work for us freely. We respect the right to equal opportunity, freedom of association and collective bargaining.

Our stance towards modern slavery is reflected in our Modern Slavery Statement which sets out the steps we are taking to mitigate the risk of modern slavery in our business. It also includes the fundamental principles that govern the way we approach preventing modern slavery now and in the future.
